9:00AM - No reports yet this morning.  Decent offshore fishing yesterday, not consistent for all boats though.  Private boat "Reel Pressure" reported they had a good day in the Washington yesterday catching 4 nice yellowfins totaling 180lbs. That ate everything from daisy chains to ballyhoos to wide trackers. They also jumped off a white and fowl hooked and released an ocean sunfish! Capt. Monty Hawkins on the head boat "Morning Star" continue to get his guests onto good size sea bass on the reefs & wrecks, just not a many as a few weeks ago.
Inshore the charter boat "Lucky Break" with Capt. Jason Mumford connected their anglers with 6 keeper flounders hooked on Gulp behind Asseteague Island.   Skip Owens from Millsboro, DE caught a 24” flounder on a Nuclear Chicken GULP! while fishing inside B Bouy.  Second time we have had this color called out.

Tuesday - 6/30 - Delivery day - so less time to update today.

Afternoon updates - Back to the office after deliveries, here were the afternoon updates;

- Capt. John - "Catch another single 90 fathoms, yellowfin. Sounds real slow over all. I feel like a broken record ?????", "Not much to report, few guys tried a drop for a sword no luck. We still roaming about" & "Well that's a rap for us today, happy to have a couple fish. Only sword I heard about was Tighten up has one in the boat and fighting another one now."

- Charter boat Boss Hogg had a good day south of the Poor Man's, catching 11 yellowfin and back to the dock early.  They hit several multiple hook ups.

- Charter boat "Just A Toy" out of Bahia Marina spotted a cobia while trolling for macks, the connected and brought a nice 45", 32 lb. treat back to the dock.  We think this is the first cobia caught by a charter this season.

- "Adam Wilson here with Cade Seely on "Chasin Tides". Had to head much further east today than we have had to recently, but are finding a good Spanish mackerel bite on trolled spoons with a few short Kings mixed in"

8:17AM - More from Capt. John - Few scattered bites, not much to it. Lot of boats"

7:30AM - Looks like another nice day inshore and offshore.   Early reports from Capt. John show a slow start offshore.  Not a lot of action reported yesterday, Capt. John got 1 yellowfin.  Private boat "Slaugher House" bucked the trend returning to the dock after a half day fishing with 5 yellowfin they trolled up in 60 fathoms in the Baltimore.   Spanish mckerel being reported in good numbers at the Bassgrounds.
Inshore continues to offer sea bass and keeper flounder action at the reefs & wrecks.  Charter boat "Chasing Tides" reported flounder and Capt. Monty Hawkins on the "Morning Star" reports "Sea bass sure weren’t cooperative today. Only one fellow got into double digits". Keeper flounder in the OC bay are being reported with ratios like 2 for 8 keepers/throwbacks.    Thorofare with baits of Gulp, minnow and bucktails seem to work for the boat "Bill's toy".
In DE, Mike Behney reports limit of sea bass and flounder up to 23” being caught using a combination of GULP!, Minnows, and squid at B Bouy.  Keeper flounder on Gulp at the Old Grounds as well.  Spanish Mackerel are hot in the surf as well.

6:24AM - More from Capt. John - "Single bite pulled tuna off. Ugh. Pretty day hope they chew today."

8:00AM - inshore fishing continues to be consistent, not 'hot'.  Keeper flounders still being caught in the OC bay, inlet  and behind Assateague.  Nick Clemente on the charter boat "Get Sum" boated 9 keepers on one of his trips on Monday.  Bucktails, Roy Rigs and double hook flounder rigs are common with Gulp and/or clam or squid.  Some report live minnows but those are hard to find right now.  Similar reports from Clark at Old Inlet Bait and Tackle just north of the Indian River bridge for the Indian River Bay.  More flounders being caught with similar rigs and bait.  The Indian River Inlet is seeing some small croakers & flounders with small rockfish at night.  Kingfish, croakers & spot are being caught from the beaches.  Live or fake bloodworms seem to work best.  Some shark action off the shore a night as well.
Offshore is similar to the past few days.  Full day fishing will get some yellowfin to the boat & white marlin releases.  Ballyhoo & spreader bar trolling yields results anywhere from the Baltimore to the Washington Canyon near the 100 fathom line.  Wreck & Reef fishing inshore is still good for sea bass, but taking more time to get to double digits.

Wednesday 6/24 - NEW ISSUE on STANDS NOW.

8:30AM - Another pretty, but hot day in store for us today.  Interesting DE report yesterday, Dylan Baker of Lewes was reeling in his catch and much to his surprise brought up two golden tilefish at one time. This was more than just a unique double hit, when these were measured at Hook'em & Cook'em at the Indian River Inlet Marina, he discover one of them is a new pending Delaware state record. It weighed 52.8lbs and measured 45 1/2” length with a 34” girth. His second fish weighed 32lbs.  Capt. Monty Hawkins on the head boat "Morning Star" started the day as usual, adding more material to the artificial reef.  He reports the chop was light and that the sea bass were being 'fussy'.  He had to add extra time to the charter trip to get some anglers to their limits and others into the double digits.  He get's it done!  Offshore reports were similar to Tuesday, more bigeye's being reported.  Capt. Larry Richardson on the charter boat "Always Late" had a very busy morning.  His guests hit their limit of bigeye tuna and were back to the dock by noon!  They were fishing in the Washington Canyon.

8:30AM - Another nice, but hot day on tap.  Reports yesterday were good for flounder in the OC Bay and Inlet.  Capt. Jason Mumford of the charter Boat "Lucky Break" put his guests on some nice keeper flounder while jigging Gulp and drifting live minnows.  Capt. Month Hawkins on the head boat "Morning Star" continued to contribute to growing the artificial reef yesterday and getting his guests to their limits of sea bass on the inshore reefs/wrecks. He reports the action has slowed a little and took a little longer for the first person to hit their limit.
Offshore the reports were less as it was a Monday, however several good catches of yellowfin tuna and white marlin releases came in.  Not as the levels of Friday/Saturday last week, but multiples of yellowfin.  All being reported from the Washington to the Poor Man's Canyons.  Several Captains report the tuna are hitting their spreader bars, and the white hit naked or skirted ballyhoo.  The charter boat "Talkin Trash" also caught a nice Mahi in the Poor Man's on a skirted ballyhoo.

Capt. Monty Hawkins from the charter boat "Morning Star" reports from the offshore reefs/wrecks - "Calmest of calms, just a bit of spread-out ground swell ... Marked sea bass about 40 feet thick soon after, started fishing, never moved... Though many a short went back, the bite was ferocious almost to the last minute. We were 4 fish shy a boat limit..."
One report of red drum being caught 8 miles offshore where Ron Sanko and Jon Benjamin found a school holding several hundred swimming on top and managed to hook a couple nice ones.

Offshore -

Not as many offshore reports yesterday, but the ones we had still show strong tuna action and larger and larger bigeye tuna.  Capt. Ken Thompson of the charter boat "Oppor-tuna-ty" took first and third place in the OC Marlin Club Small Boat Tournament with the first place winner weighing in at 179 lbs.  Angler Griffin Wingenroth on the private boat "Salty Bandit" brought in a 270 lb. bigeye from the Poor Man's.  Several white and blue marlin releases reported.  Action mainly in the south/east Poor Man's and north Washington Canyons.  Fish were hitting mostly ballyhoo with skirts, spreader bars, daisy chains and greenmachines.  Bigeyes ranging in the min 100 lb. range and yellowfins in the 40's.  Good sharking reported as well with hammerhead views and releases.  Charter boat "Restless Lady" brought in a 147 lb. mako from an overnighter.  Marc and Mark Troch from Stewartstown PA on there boat the “Tiffany Lynne” caught and released there second Great White in less then 2 weeks, this one was estimated at around 500lbs.

Franky Pettolina reports good tuna action at the rockpile as well.  Ballyhoo, spreader bars and green machines seem to be the bait of choice.
